COVID-19 Service Updates
The guidelines continue to change as Nova Scotia goes through the phases of reopening. We have added several safety measures and enhanced cleaning measures for our mutual safety. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
We do ask that customers follow all Public Health Guidelines and refrain from visiting the winery if they have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or have recently traveled outside the province or as of July 3 outside of the four Atlantic Provinces.

Updated July 30 2020:
Our tasting room will be open from 11am-6pm for wine sales and tastings seven days a week.
Outside of our regular hours, or for those not quite ready to venture out, we offer options for contactless pick up or delivery as well as an online shop with shipping now available across Canada. Please refer to the relevant FAQ for details.
The following policies for guests and services will apply:
-Effective July 31 masks must be worn within the winery. They may be removed during seated tastings. They are not required outside but please consider physical distancing requirements. Please refer to the Government Policy for more information.
-Walk-ins are welcome during this time however, we also encourage you to call ahead (902-467-4156) to book a tasting in advance. Groups from 5-10 that wish to taste together should call to reserve the Harvest Table. No more than 15 people are allowed to enter the winery at one time.
-Guests will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the winery and maintain a minimum of 6 feet from customers not within your group. Please observe all signage and direction from the staff.
-Guests will not be allowed to enter if they exhibit any symptoms consistent with Covid-19, have been in close contact with a known or suspected case, or if they have traveled outside the province in the last 14 days, or as of July 3 outside of the four Atlantic provinces.
-As masks will be worn by staff and customers during tastings, we will be offering guests clean paper bags to safely hold their masks, along with sanitizer to clean hands before and after.
-Physical distancing between staff and guests will be maintained during tastings. Tasting areas will be sanitized between guests.
-Tastings will be poured in disposable wine glasses and laid out by staff before guests approach the tasting area. A maximum of 3 one ounce pours per tasting. We ask that you do not spit at this time however if needed we will supply an extra individual cup.
-Guests have the option to purchase a Bear River Vineyards glass to pour their tastings into. We regret we are not able to pour your samples into your glass directly. A bag will be provided for you to take your glass home with you. Glasses are $6.00
-Modified tours of the winery are now available during our regular hours. For best availability please call ahead. Only groups that arrive together will be toured together. High touch point areas will be sanitized between groups. For those who do not wish to tour we will continue to share the charm and history of our facility during your time with us in the tasting room.
-Private tours or sunset tastings on the precipice can be booked ahead.
-Customers are welcome to go down to the precipice to enjoy the view however we ask that you are mindful of physical distancing and consider wearing your mask.
-Our guest suite is now available for bookings. We maintain a minimum of a 48 hour unoccupied window between bookings.
Curbside and In-Store Pick Up
Curb-side and In-Store pickup of product daily between the hours of 11am-6pm at the Winery. Located at 133 Chute Road, Bear River, N.S. There is no minimum for this option. Orders of 3 bottles or more can be placed online. Please contact the winery directly for smaller orders.
If you prefer curbside service please remain in your car and call when you arrive and we will deliver your purchase to your trunk.
Please do not choose either of these options if you have symptoms of Covid-19, have been in contact with a known or suspected case, or have traveled outside the province in the last 14 days, or as of July 3 outside of the four Atlantic provinces. We would be happy to arrange contactless delivery of your order.

For the remainder of the 2020 season we will be coordinating deliveries to HRM with Lazy Bear Breweries. Information regarding dates and locations can be found on our Facebook page. For information on ordering please see their website.
We will still be offering local delivery from Yarmouth to Windsor. Please contact the winery directly.
Someone over the age of 19 must be home to receive the order.
We will contact you the day of delivery to give you a time window.
We regret we are unable to leave orders without confirmation.
We will place your order on your doorstep and call you from a safe distance to observe the order is received.
We are pleased to be able to offer shipping throughout Canada through our online store.
All orders are sent via Canada Post unless otherwise arranged.
A 3 bottle minimum order applies.
There is a flat rate of $10.00 within the Maritimes and $20.00 for the rest of Canada.
You will be sent a tracking number once your wine is on its way. Winery turn around time is usually within one business day. Delivery time should be an additional 2-4 days however, Canada Post is not guaranteeing that at this time and longer wait times should be anticipated.
Please contact the Winery should you wish to discuss alternative courier arrangements. Please note additional charges may apply.
Tasting selections will change based on our available wines. We offer 3 one ounce pours for $5.00. Each tasting fee will be waived with a purchase of $20.00

All group and private bookings are hosted by one of our owners.
We are sorry but we are unable to offer food at this time.
Guest Suite stays are for minimum of 2 nights and are booked through VRBO during the regular season. Please contact us directly for off season availability. Please note that due to the limitations of our barn we are unable to open during the winter months.
