COVID-19 Service Updates
According to Nova Scotia guidelines we have added several safety measures and enhanced cleaning measures for our mutual safety. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
We do ask that customers follow all Public Health Guidelines and refrain from visiting the winery if they have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 , have been to one of the exposure sites or in contact with a known or suspected case, or have recently traveled outside the province.

We are now open for tastings, tours, and wines sales. We have also reopened our online shop for both delivery and curbside pick up.

Masks must be worn within the winery. They may be removed during seated tastings. They should also be worn outside if there are patrons not within your group present. Please refer to the Government Policy for more information and maintain physical distancing.
Guests will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the winery. Please observe all signage and direction from the staff.
Guests will not be allowed to enter if they exhibit any symptoms consistent with Covid-19, have been in close contact with a known or suspected case. Travelers from outside of Atlantic Canada must adhere to all policies as set out by the NS government with respect to isolation requirements based on vaccination status. All of our team members are fully vaccinated.
Contact information for each group of tasters will be collected as per public health request. You may only taste with those in your group. Due to capacity limits you may be asked to wait outside until a tasting area is available.
As masks will be worn by staff and customers during tastings, guests may request a paper bag to safely hold their masks. Sanitizer will be offered to clean hands before and after.
Physical distancing between staff and guests will be maintained during tastings. Tasting areas will be sanitized between guests.
Tastings will be poured in disposable wine glasses. A maximum of 3 one ounce pours per tasting. We ask that you do not spit at this time however if needed we will supply an extra individual cup.
Guests have the option to purchase a Bear River Vineyards glass to pour their tastings into. A bag will be provided for you to take your glass home with you. Glasses are $6.00
Curbside and In-Store Pick Up
Curb-side and In-Store pickup is available. Located at 133 Chute Road, Bear River, N.S. There is no minimum for this option. Orders of 3 bottles or more can be placed online and we will contact you to arrange a time. Please contact the winery directly for smaller orders.

Local Delivery resumes June 2021 between Digby and Halifax. Please contact the winery directly to confirm timing and pricing. Delivery day varies based on demand.
We hope to be coordinate deliveries to HRM with Lazy Bear Breweries in the coming months. Information regarding dates and locations will be posted on our Facebook page as they happen. For more information on ordering please see their website.
Someone over the age of 19 must be home to receive the order.
We will contact you the day of delivery to give you a time window.
We regret we are unable to leave orders without confirmation.
We will place your order on your doorstep and call you from a safe distance to observe the order is received.

We are pleased to be able to offer shipping throughout Canada through our online store.
All orders are sent via Canada Post unless otherwise arranged.
A 3 bottle or $ 50.00 minimum order applies.
There is a flat rate of $10.00 within the Maritimes and $20.00 for the rest of Canada.
You will be sent a tracking number once your wine is on its way. Winery turn around time is usually within one business day. Delivery time should be an additional 2-4 days however, Canada Post is not guaranteeing that at this time and longer wait times should be anticipated.
Please contact the Winery should you wish to discuss alternative courier arrangements. Please note additional charges may apply.
Tasting selections will change based on our available wines. We offer 3 one ounce pours for $5.00. Each tasting fee will be waived with a purchase of $20.00. This does not apply to prebooked group tours.
Private or Group Tours

Complimentary tours are available on a first come first served basis during our regular hours of operation.
We encourage groups of 4 or more to prebook a private tour in order to ensure availability. Groups are hosted by one of our owners, at a cost of $5.00 per person including tasting.
We are sorry but we are unable to offer food at this time however, guests are welcome to bring their own picnics to be enjoyed at one of our outdoor seating areas.
Guest Suite is now open for booking through VRBO during the regular season. Please contact us directly for off season availability. Please note that due to the limitations of our barn we are unable to open during the winter months.
